Brief History:
The Nothing Special Targa.
There is really nothing special about this 71 other than it’s mine. I bought it off the original owner when I was a senior in high school in 1985. It’s been slightly modified over the years from the comfort package to more of a sports purpose 911. It currently has over 400k on the chassis and just about 200k on the current rebuild. She still has the 901 trans and 2.2 motor (slightly modified). History of my ownership over the last 38 plus years includes picking up my wife for our very first date in this 911. Raising 3 kids with this 911, and they all get to drive it. Meeting so many great Porsche people including RGruppe, who I am a member of, #532. Time with POC, PCA and several HPDE days a year makes sure this Targa sees plenty of both road and track use. It is lightened, lowered and is driven hard every time it leaves the garage. I appreciate the opportunity to share this 911T Targa in its modest form.
Thanks Dan Byers
