Brief History:
This marks my second GT3, and also my second venture into the realm of Porsches. Having previously owned a 991.1, I found myself yearning for the tactile engagement of a manual transmission. The object of my desire appeared on Rennlist, and from that moment, I patiently shadowed its online presence for years. After reaching out to the owner and expressing my interest, my request seemingly slipped from memory, not due to any fault of theirs, as I'm sure numerous inquiries flooded in. Yet, a gut feeling led me to believe that something had changed with the car. Acting on this intuition, I reconnected with the community to locate the owner once more. Without a clear reason for my urgency, I felt compelled to act immediately. To my surprise, I discovered that the owner had recently traded the car to Porsche of Tucson. In a flurry of excitement, I wasted no time. As soon as the dealership opened its doors, I made the call, enduring a hold period during their sales meeting. When a salesperson finally answered, I urgently explained the situation – a car in transit that I was eager to acquire. The dealership staff exchanged words across the sales floor, likely thinking I was a bit eccentric. However, when the price was quoted, I didn't hesitate to exclaim, "SOLD!" I was ready to part with my money then and there. The deal was sealed, and three days later, the car arrived. Surprisingly, the GM of the store wasn't aware of the transaction initially but, upon seeing the car, understood the urgency. He congratulated me once more, honored the agreed-upon price (which I considered a bargain given the timing), and here we are. This upcoming journey will mark my first Luft experience, and I'm shipping the car from Massachusetts to California for a 10-day adventure along the canyons and coastal roads. The trip will kick off with Luft, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it!
