Brief History:
In 2021 my wife and I commissioned our friends at Werks 11 of Troy, TX to turn our tattered, barn-find 1962 356B into a unique outlaw for spirited driving throughout the US at various rallies and events with the build completed in fall 2023. The body underwent extensive modification including but not limited to: chopped roof, shaved roof rails, 356 A windshield, Pre-A style fresh air vent, center fill fuel tank, custom 550 style hood, recessed Porsche badge, larger front horn openings/vents, widened rear fenders, active rear fender vents, custom rear decklid, custom flush mount glass throughout, and a custom paint job in 'Salzach Grun'. Power comes from a race spec 2.4 L Porsche type IV engine with modern fuel injection, upright fan, and custom exhaust including a GT3 muffler. The stock transmission was rebuilt and regeared. A KW Sport Adjustable suspension was fitted along with 4 wheel disk brakes. A highly appointed interior with Speedster seats, green leather, square weave carpet, R headliner, custom milled knobs/trimwork, modern VDO gauges, roll-bar hoop, and rear storage compartment round out the project.
