Brief History:

We’ve owned a 1994 C2 since 1998, but my husband’s first Porsche experience was driving a 1998 Boxster his friend purchased new. We purchased a 964 that year, but my husband has always wanted a Boxster. When the 987 Spyder launched, we almost bought one new, but we were moving homes, and the timing just wasn’t right. Fast forward to 2019, my husband pointed out a local to us Boxster Spyder that was on Bring-A-Trailer. He joked that the auction was ending that day and maybe we should get it. I surprised him and said “Sure, why not.” I’d called his bluff and he began to back-pedal, “Well… I’ve a meeting in Burbank and will be on the road when the auction ends.” I said, “I’ll bid”. And I did. We picked the car up two days later, on our 26th wedding anniversary. An unplanned, but wonderful anniversary gift!! I love this car! He likes the Spyder too but found that the many years he’d been driving his old 964 had changed him. He’s worn into his old 911 as much as the old 911 has worn into him. The MSRP was $84,690. This car was loaded! Leather everywhere, even the sun-visors. We’d never have optioned the Sports Exhaust but found we love the noise it makes!
