Brief History:
This car started life as a 1973 911 T. Pre Covid the car was refreshed and given a low key RS tribute vibe.
Soon after my purchase in 2021 the valve seat cracked and dropped into cylinder number 6 and bad things happened. The day was saved though with an extensive engine rebuild with a hotrod street/race build spec by Ares, Koko and the team at Sublime in LA.
Engine Build:
- 3.2 short stroke based on a 3.0 case
- Carrillo connecting rods
- New Mahle p&c set 98mm (3.2) 10.3.1 compression
- Twin plug 3.2 heads ported to match the Rasant ITBs
- New bigger intake valves
- Assco titanium retainers and valve springs
- Web cams 464/465 grind (similar to a DC40 Dougherty mod S)
- New fan
- New engine oil cooler
- ARP head studs
- Oil fed chain tensioners
- Patrick Motorsports headers 1 5/8" RSR style O2 Sensors
- Customized Dansk gt3 style 2 in and 2 out exhaust
- All new engine hardware
- New amber fiberglass engine shroud
- Sachs clutch with dual mass flywheel
- Motec M84 ECU engine mgmt
- Coil on plug ignition
- Rasant twin plug wiring harness and Bosch fuel injectors
- Dyno tuned by Ed Pink Racing
- Pulled 292 hp and 267 ft/lb torque at the wheels (uncorrected) and thus with 15% drive train loss estimated at ~330 at the crank.
