Brief History:
Car is a visually correct '73 RSR tribute machine, inspired by the Targa Florio winning car. Built on a '73 chassis that was stripped, seam welded and fitted with factory RSR flares and ducktail. Underneath, the powertrain has been modernized. Currently running a 3.6 with backdated fan, cams, solid rockers, custom intakes, Motec electronics, long tube headers...and bolted to a shorted G50 5-Speed with steel synchros and an OS Giken diff. Suspension runs coilovers on custom Exe-TC dampers, a few spherical bearings and nice anti roll bars. Interior is relatively spartan and also period correct. Original Lollipop seat, minimalist roll bar, Heuer SuperAutavia dash clock, etc. Wheels are factory 9x11" RSR Fuchs on Michelin TB5's. Front fuel cell runs a 917 style filler thru the hood. Fun build! Awesome to get her back on the road after three decades of dust collection :-)
