Brief History:
Introducing Midori, my symbol of resilience. "Midori" is the Japanese word for green — my purchase of her in 2021 marked a significant milestone: one year since the conclusion of my cancer treatment.
Midori displays license plates on both ends, which I know is not a Porsche norm. Her license plate, KNTSGI, stands for Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing that which is broken with gold, symbolizing the beauty in imperfection and the healing journey — serving as a reminder of my battle scars and victories against cancer.
Her model in her color was featured in the Porsche Boxster advertisements and marketing materials for her year — Midori showcases her color, Python Green. She has almost all available upgrades (except for ceramic brakes,) for an exceptional driving experience. Midori’s modifications include the addition of a front tow-hook license plate and radiator protection grill screens.
Over her three years and ~30k miles Midori has had incredibly fun adventures, from road rallies and cars and coffee gatherings to epic road trips. She's enjoyed spirited weekend drives through mountain and canyon road twisties and even tested her limits on the track. From showcasing her charms at various car shows — being at Porsche events like Rennsport Reunion 7 to celebratory parade laps at Laguna Seca — she’s been part of unforgettable moments!
The Porsche community has embraced us in a way that's just hard to put into words. Midori and I drive “alone together” with my husband in his GT4 along with an amazing crew of fellow Porsche drivers — including some other awesome solo female drivers. And we’ve shared some extraordinarily joyful times together!
And... Midori was honored with a post on @Porsche Instagram.
Embrace the twists, savor the turns, and celebrate the joy of driving on the road of life's journey!
