Brief History:
This 968 CS is a very motorsport spec version with only the options that would benefit it on track. Full delete car (No sunroof, roll down windows, radio delete, ac delete, no airbag, limited slip, m030 suspension , hardback riviera blue buckets, cup wheels. This spec is only 1 of 11 in Riviera blue with hardback seats , and M030 suspension.
Back story on how I found the car started off with a purchase of a first year 1982 Porsche 944 out of Germany that was Mauritius blue over brown pasha. The seller had a small collection of cars and I asked if he had any other Porsches. He said I have only one but it’s in a very bright blue so I’m not sure if you will like it. He was under the impression the color was maritime blue but upon closer inspection it was riviera blue. Nothing against maritime blue as I think it’s a beautiful color but in my opinion the riviera blue makes the CS really shine. I started to find out how rare some of the options were on this car and immediately started to wire funds to purchase. This car had been in storage for 13 years with a total of about 1500km put on it in that time period. The previous owner kept it maintained and started regularly over his ownership just never had time to properly enjoy it.
I have now owned the car for the past year making improvements in several key areas and cannot see my self ever parting with this car. I find the 968 CS the pinnacle of Porsche engineering for the transaxle layout and it shows every time I take this car out to the Texas hill country. The car is telepathic in corners and always gives you confidence to find the limit without reservation. This car will certainly go down in Porsche’s history as a platform not loved by all but adored by a select few.
